Matt
Rains, the youngest son of Dee Dee and Lennard, also grew
up as an active member of the Birdtail Ranch. Like his older
brother, he was active in 4-H, AQHYA, and the Open Show Circuit.
Matt help build up the broodmare band with quality mares that
he selected, trained and won with in the show ring.
Matt
attended West Point Academy following high school, where he
graduated with a degree in Systems Engineering. He is retired
as a Captain in the United States Army, where he flew Blackhawk
helicopters in Iraq.
He hopes to one day return to Simms to help run the Quarter
Horse operation.
